Discover Auream Argudell and Picual oils Llàgrimes del Canigó
On the Costa Brava, between the Tramuntana winds and the salty Mediterranean breeze, olive trees have been cultivated for centuries, defining the identity of this region. Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is not only a fundamental ingredient in Mediterranean cuisine: it is a symbol of culture, landscape, and life. Llàgrimes del Canigó We know this well, and that's why we make our oils Auream Argudell y Auream Picual respecting as much as possible the character of the land that gives us origin.
Olive oil as the essence of Mediterranean culture
Since ancient times, EVOO has been much more than a food. In Mediterranean cuisines, Olive oil is the basis of everything: it seasons, preserves, flavors, and protects. But it also accompanies rituals, is passed down from generation to generation, and represents a way of understanding the territory: live slowly, respect the cycles of nature and prioritize what is authentic.

The Costa Brava: a land of olive trees, sea and dry stone
Our oils are born in the Girona province, in the north of the Iberian Peninsula. Here, the conditions are unique: poor, stony soils, a dry climate with marine influences, and an average altitude that, along with the strong Tramuntana winds, forces the olive trees to grow resiliently. The result is more concentrated fruits, with intense and complex aromatic profiles.
Auream Argudell: the native expression
Oil Auream Argudell It is made exclusively with Argudell variety, a variety autochthonous from the Girona region. It is an uncommon olive outside this area, and its adaptation to the conditions of the Costa Brava gives it a unique character. On the palate, Auream Argudell stands out for its fresh, green notes, with hints of green almond, artichoke leaves, and freshly cut grass. On the palate, it is balanceda slight bitterness and a smooth, lingering finish.

Auream Picual: Mediterranean intensity with a Catalan accent
El Auream Picual It is our EVOO of picual variety, one of the most cultivated olive oils in Spain, but with a very distinct personality when grown on the Costa Brava. Unlike the Andalusian Picuals, which are more potent and have a more pronounced bitterness, olive oil Picual of the Costa Brava offers a more balanced y nuanced.
Our Auream Picual retains the characteristic strength of the variety —high polyphenol content, resistance to oxidation and intense notes of olive leaf, tomato and almond— but with a more elegant profileThe milder climate and proximity to the sea give it a rounder texture, with less itching or with a fruitier flavor.
It is ideal for grilled meats, cured cheeses, and dishes that require an oil with character, but without overpowering the whole.

A way of life, a flavor that lasts
En Llàgrimes del Canigó We understand extra virgin olive oil as a living thing, reflecting the place where it comes from. That's why our Auream olive oils don't seek to imitate foreign models: they are faithful to their origin, to the Costa Brava, to the dry stone, the north wind, and the sea we see from the olive grove. They are oils with character, designed for those who value an authentic product, without artifice.
If you want to bring a piece of this landscape to your table, all you have to do is open a bottle. The oil does the rest.
