Oil Tastings in the Alt Empordà
Discover the nuances of the Trull d'Agullana extra virgin olive oil
We want to bring you closer to the magical world of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO). Therefore, in Llàgrimes del Canigó We organize tastings-tastings with the aim that the participants can become familiar with the different oils of the Empordà area that exist in the market, know their flavors, know their quality, but above all recognize the different categories of olive oils that they are marketed in Catalonia.
The oil tasting activity organized by Llàgrimes del Canigó next to the trull Or de l'Albera on his estate in Agullana (Alt Empordà) is divided into two parts: the theoretical, which tries to explain both the history and the technique behind the oil; the tasting of 3 types of different native varieties of the area and of the 6 varieties of flavored oils from Llàgrimes del Canigó.
We also offer the possibility of eating in the emblematic restaurant "La Concòrdia". A restaurant located in the heart of Agullana, and that has been operating for more than 100 years.
All the activity takes place in a very relaxed and comfortable environment where you will learn and discover all the mystery and magic that the world of extra virgin olive oil has. The total price of the activity is € 20 for the oil tasting and € 15€ for lunch / dinner at La Concòrdia (optional).
Our regular tasting days are Wednesday 11-13h + lunch, and the Friday from 18-20h + dinner. Contact us to participate through the contact form or by email to reservas@canigooil.com. In case of being a group of more than 12 people we could organize a tasting with a personalized schedule.
